It Works

Just started using it at Gore Mountain and it works as advertised. Glad to know that my skis are now protected from theft. A small price for the potential benefits.

Just don’t drop it

I have been loving my ski key lock for three seasons now.
However, last trip I dropped the lock into the snow while trying to set it in the rack. I tapped out the snow and locked my skis. When I came back from lunch the lock had frozen and I couldn’t get the key to go in. I had to borrow a cigarette lighter to heat the key several times to get it to melt the ice out from inside the lock. Once it dried out the next day I sprayed some silicone into the lock to disperse any water.

Very easy to secure my gear.

With the Ski Key, it is very easy to secure my gear. Having my rental equipment taken by another a few weeks before I got Ski Key, it's good to know only I can remove my gear from the rack when I return.

Super convenient!

The Ski Keys I purchased are extremely convenient, and came in handy several times my first day bringing them to the mountain. Some of the racks are beat up, but the lock device worked well, is small enough to carry in a pocket without noticing, and gave me peace of mind leaving extra gear at the lodge.

We bought these because most of the Lou twins we go to were listed on the site as having compatible racks. So far, we have not had luck - Jay Peak does NOT have lockable racks!

We are sorry you are disappointed, however our list of resorts shows resorts that have purchased Ski Key Racks currently or in the past. We have no control over the resorts placement of the racks or the maintenance upkeep of them. Some resorts have the racks placed in different lodge locations. Jay Peak has been a long time user of Ski Key and has had our racks for many years as well as their sister resorts. We will check with the resort for an update. Thank you for your feedback.We would be happy to issue you a full refund for the return of the locks purchased.
